Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Chain Games ("Chain Games," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Chain Reaction game, the chainreaction.win website, and related content, features, and services (together, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or playing the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Eligibility & Age
To use the Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and if you are a minor, have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract and not be barred from using the Services under applicable law.
- Not be located in, or a resident of, a country or region subject to sanctions or embargoes that would make your use of the Services unlawful.
Features that involve digital tokens or purchases may carry additional age or jurisdictional requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of such features is legal where you live.
Your Account
You may need to create an account or connect a digital wallet to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials, and any connected wallet's private keys, secure and confidential.
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials or wallet keys. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion as described in Section 15.
License to Play
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Chain Games grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and play Chain Reaction for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment.
You agree that you will not, and will not permit others to:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Services, except where permitted by law.
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our written permission.
- Use cheats, bots, automation, exploits, hacks, or any unauthorized third-party software that interferes with the Services.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, anti-cheat, or access-control features.
Virtual Items & CHAIN Tokens
Chain Reaction may include virtual items, in-game currency, rewards, and digital assets, and may let you earn or use CHAIN tokens recorded on a public blockchain. The following terms apply:
- Limited license, not ownership of game content. Virtual items and in-game currency are licensed, not sold, to you, and have no monetary value unless and to the extent expressly provided.
- Blockchain tokens. CHAIN tokens and other on-chain assets operate on decentralized networks that we do not control. Transactions are recorded publicly and are generally irreversible and immutable.
- No guarantee of value. The value, availability, liquidity, and utility of tokens and digital assets may fluctuate or be lost entirely. We do not guarantee any price, payout, or future functionality.
- Not investment or financial advice. Nothing in the Services is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Tokens are intended for use within the game and are not offered as securities or investment products.
We may manage, modify, regulate, suspend, or remove virtual items and in-game features at any time, and we are not liable to you for doing so, except as required by law.
Purchases, Fees & Taxes
If you make a purchase, you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges, including blockchain network ("gas") fees, which we do not control and do not receive. Unless required by law or expressly stated, all purchases are final and non-refundable.
You are solely responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Services, your purchases, and your token activity. Prices and available items may change at any time.
Player Conduct & Fair Play
Chain Reaction is competitive, but it must stay fair. You agree not to:
- Cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized software, or otherwise gain an unfair advantage.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other players, or engage in hate speech or discrimination.
- Post or transmit content that is unlawful, obscene, infringing, or harmful.
- Engage in fraud, money laundering, market manipulation, or any illegal activity through the Services.
- Impersonate others, including Chain Games staff, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Disrupt the Services, other players' experience, or the networks and infrastructure that support them.
- Collect or harvest data about other users without their consent.
We may investigate and take action against conduct that violates these Terms, including removing content, restricting features, and suspending or terminating accounts.
User Content
You may have the ability to submit or share content such as usernames, messages, clips, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Chain Games a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Services.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate the law or any third party's rights. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we consider objectionable.
Intellectual Property
The Services, including the Chain Reaction game, its software, artwork, maps, weapons, characters, audio, trademarks, logos, and all related content, are owned by Chain Games or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission.
Assumption of Risk
Blockchain-based features carry inherent risks. By using them, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Cryptographic assets are volatile and may lose some or all of their value.
- Blockchain transactions are typically irreversible; mistakes (such as sending to a wrong address) may not be recoverable.
- You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, devices, and private keys. We never ask for your private keys or seed phrase.
- Regulatory, technical, and network changes (including forks, congestion, and outages) may affect the Services and your assets.
- We do not control third-party wallets, exchanges, or blockchain networks and are not responsible for their performance or security.
Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with or link to third parties such as Epic Games Store, GitHub, digital wallets, and social platforms. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and including a link or integration does not imply our endorsement.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chain Games and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or digital assets, arising out of or related to your use of the Services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chain Games and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, or for any other reason permitted by law. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end, though provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
Disputes & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Chain Games, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent permitted by law, you and Chain Games agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us.
If a dispute is not resolved, you agree that, where permitted by applicable law, disputes will be resolved through final and binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and that you and Chain Games each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement or from bringing a claim in small-claims court where available. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain arbitration or class-waiver provisions, in which case they do not apply to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.
